Soccer Analyst Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Premier League Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak was ended by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated football expert Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."
The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, readers and a range of guests.
In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is out on Friday.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their manager.
"I will not push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he added.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a period too.
"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Premier League Forecasts
Weekend, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's return from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.
I still think this game will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to go with Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: The Blues will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.
The Hammers' only away win this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in August, when their manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously that team's manager.
So, what on earth do I go with here - can West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?
I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.
The pundit's forecast: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign began, but they have impressed a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.
My son advised me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will try to attack on the break but I feel the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.
The analyst's prediction: 2-1
Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six games.
They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone fight.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.
Their performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We've not seen any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat Chelsea at the close of last month.
However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they clearly love to defy my predictions.
Considering the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely eager for a good result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.
The expert's forecast: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know Sunderland are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
