Passionate followers of the pop star are calling for that a individual who breached a fence and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing media personnel and lunging at Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though court documents revealed that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram feed features videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Grande's Safety

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while some requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a dual version of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, earning a pair for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
